My favourite bridge memory

My Favourite Bridge Memory

Running a bridge weekend at Cheltenham Bridge Club for 102 students and helpers. Ro feels proud when she see some of those students now on the England Team.

Ro (Rosaleen) was in her fifties before she found bridge (promoted by my parents). Until then she had a busy life as a mother, physics teacher and housemistress to teenage students.

Ro loves hosting and directing and watching our gentle bridge players improve. She has been chairman of Cheltenham Bridge Club and now directs and helps teach youngsters both at the club and in their schools.

Bridge experience

Ro has been playing bridge for 20 years, qualified as a Director 2.5 years and directs regularly at her club.

Ro is a qualified EBU teacher both at the club and in schools having qualified 11 years ago.

Ro provides working seminars with boards to play.

Hosting style

Ro aims for a happy, friendly holiday and is firmly in control of what makes her guests happy.

Other hobbies and interests

Ro enjoys Pilates, knitting, her book group (27 years and still going) and baking novelty cakes for her grandchildren.

A fun fact about Ro

Ro laughs a lot and her progress around the bridge room is easy to follow.
